Amethysta (filly, 3 years old, trained by Mitsunori Makiura at Ritto, by Kitasan Black) is set to be ridden by Takeshi Yokoyama (based at Miho, trained by Nobuhiro Suzuki) in the G1 Oaks on May 24. This marks a reunion for the pair, as they last teamed up two races ago when she captured her second win in the Nanohana Prize.
For the same race, Enne (filly, 3, trained by Tatsuya Yoshioka at Ritto, by Kizuna) will have Ryusei Sakai (from Ritto, trained by Yoshito Yahagi) in the saddle. Meanwhile, Realize Luminous (filly, 3, trained by Shinsuke Hashiguchi at Ritto, by Silver State), who is on the waiting list for entry, will be guided by Akihide Tsumura (based at Miho, freelance) if she makes the Oaks field.
In other news, Top Attack, winner of the Yukitsubaki Sho, and Vogel, runner-up in the Tachibana Stakes, will target the G3 Aoi Stakes (May 30, Kyoto).
