“I am grateful to the players for the effort they put in on Thursday to secure our place in the Europa League final, as well as today. In this match, we deserved more. We should have won, but we missed three clear chances and conceded two goals. It’s very tough when you don’t capitalize on such opportunities, but we created enough chances to win, and we also had a goal disallowed for offside.
We attacked frequently, had many corners, and did enough to earn the victory. The players showed their determination to get three points,” Emery said, as quoted on the official website of the Birmingham club.
