Former NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill has resolved a civil lawsuit filed by a social media influencer, closing one legal chapter as he prepares for the 2026 season.
According to the Miami Herald, Hill reached a settlement last week with Sophie Hall, who claimed she suffered a broken leg after Hill pushed her during a football drill at his home. The agreement came during the ongoing civil trial, after Hall testified in court that the injury occurred when Hill “charged” at her.
Hill’s legal team argued that Hall “assumed any risk” by voluntarily participating in the drill. As is common in many civil settlements, the financial terms were not disclosed.
The case is separate from Hill’s ongoing divorce proceedings, where he faces allegations of multiple domestic violence incidents. Recently, his estranged wife’s attorneys have sought to uncover evidence related to past allegations of domestic violence, including a 2019 investigation into whether Hill broke his son’s arm.
The NFL has launched an investigation into Hill under its Personal Conduct Policy, prompted by the allegations in the divorce case.
Hill suffered a serious knee injury during the 2025 NFL season and was released by the Miami Dolphins in March. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has stated that Hill intends to play in 2026.
