The French Professional Footballers’ Union (UNFP) has announced the winner of the Ligue 1 Player of the Season award for the 2025/2026 campaign. Paris Saint-Germain striker Ousmane Dembele claimed the honor for the second consecutive year.
In the final voting for this season, Dembele outperformed his PSG teammates Vitinha and Nuno Mendes, as well as Marseille’s English winger Mason Greenwood and Lens forward Florian Thauvin.
Notably, Dembele started only nine matches in the French top flight this term. Across all appearances, he featured in 20 games (totaling 960 minutes), scoring 10 goals and providing six assists. Despite his contributions, he did not rank among the top seven goalscorers in the league this season.
