Real Madrid legend and former goalkeeper Iker Casillas has shared his thoughts on the possibility of José Mourinho returning to coach the club. In a social media post, Casillas stated that he holds no personal grudge against Mourinho and acknowledges his professional qualities, but he would prefer not to see him take charge at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“I have no problem with Mourinho. In my opinion, he is an outstanding professional, but I don’t want him to coach Real Madrid. I believe there are other managers who are more suitable for the club of my life. This is just my personal view, nothing more,” Casillas wrote.
The comments come amid ongoing speculation about Mourinho’s potential return to the Spanish capital. While Casillas respects Mourinho’s career, he made it clear that he believes a different direction would be best for the club.
