An I.T.
Technician by profession I got bored of the office life and
as the sea had always been my passion I decided to pursue my
dream. I started diving in 1987 and as a diver I
travelled and dived in St-Petersburg, Belgium, Spain, Cuba
and Malta. In 2005 I decided to Go Pro and make my dream my
profession. A decision which I never regretted.
With this in mind together with my family we moved to Malta
- A beautiful Island surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea.
In 2005 I became
a PADI Divemaster and started working as a dive guide, in
2008 I continued my commitment and became a PADI Open Water
Scuba Instructor. |

I started working in
the scuba diving industry in 2004 mainly in
administration in a busy dive centre in Moscow. In
2008 I became a PADI Divemaster, loved the freedom and
started working as a dive guide. Technical diving
grabbed my attention so I continued my Diving Education
and became an IANTD Advanced Nitrox Instructor, IANTD
Air Diluent Rebreather Instructor & IANTD Normoxic
Trimix Instructor.
I travelled around the
world organizing dive trips for our clients in Moscow.
Malta was one of the most popular destinations. I
love the Island of Malta and the diving here is just
perfect, great recreational dive sites and a haven for
technical divers with WWI & WWII wrecks just minutes
away from the shore. So when the opportunity to
move to Malta presented itself I did not hesitate to
move to this beautiful island together with my wife
Elena and our daughter Vita.
I have a diploma of
auto mechanics, I drive around on my motorbike and also
have a Private Pilot License.
I speak Russian,
English and Spanish and I cannot wait to dive with you
during your visit to Malta! |

I started diving whilst
in the Maldives for something to do and was hooked
immediately! I took all the courses and with this
new passion, a new career was beckoning. After
just nine months I became a PADI Divemaster in Mallorca
and trained towards becoming an instructor. In
October 2009 I became a PADI Open Water Instructor.
In 2012 I joined the
Subway Team because Malta is my favourite diving
destination! I just love diving in Malta, Gozo and
Comino. The clear blue waters and the wrecks, lots
of wrecks around the Islands make the diving fantastic.
My favourite dives are the Tug boat Rozi, P29 Patrol
Boat and the Um El Faroud!
I speak Evertonian
English, Spanish, a little German and I am currently
learning Russian. Dive Malta Once... and I promise
you will be back. |

Shaun always mentions his first try dive way back in
1996 and from there on diving became his life style.
After finishing his open water course he was egger to
learn more about his new hobby and joined in for his
next course in the PADI hierarchy. From there on he
never looked back and one course led to another ending
up a Master Instructor who can teach 17 PADI specialty
courses.
Being local, brought up in the Maltese culture, Shaun
has a very good knowledge of the dive sites around the
islands and his interest in the local history and
traditions will surely be the cherry on the cake in your
diving experience. |
